Bringing back the Street Team

Early on in Wisher's inception, we started standing around the fountain greeting new members, and driving new traffic to Decentraland. Once there we would onboard them and teach them stuff about DCL and show them around some popular areas.

Alot of connections that are still around today were made possible by the street team and we hope to bring that back with trackable KPIs and benefit for all of Decentraland.

Collect new users

Utilize social media, IRL events and more to get new users into DCL for events.

Drive traffic to events

Once users are in DCL, the team give them call to action such as attending an event, buying their first wearable, getting them to play one of DCL's other games or purchase a bottle of Wisher.

The street team will also be available at our future IRL events dedicated to onboarding folks into Decentraland. Having dedicated advocates on site will help maintain the focus required to educated people interested in learning more.

What makes this a success?

We will be measuring this POC by focusing on two things that are within Wisher's control with the understanding there will be halo effects throughout the community.

Foot Traffic (Dwell Time)

By focusing on these two KPI's we can unlock more dollars to continue bringing amazing content to Decentraland and the knowledge we will unlock with testing different call-to-actions and marketing techniques we can prove that brands can survive and profit within decentraland enabling a stronger path to purchase.

Why is Wisher doing this?

You can utilize the street team too!

With these funds we will be hiring a team of individuals and training them to not only represent Wisher but to represent your community as well. Once hired, we will host an AMA where they can learn about the happenings around DCL. With the amount of people they will onboard and speak with they will find ways to connect new members with your community and efforts. These individuals will be hired hourly and will be working 40 hours a week to help drive new membership and community stickiness. So it benefits us all to share what everyone else is doing.

Since Wisher is a bonified business, we can employ individuals under our company and make sure everything is legally above board with taxes, and insurance. These individuals will be invested in not only by the DAO but organizational as well with structure and management support and efforts. Since we launched in Decentraland, this has become our home, yet being a business we have full access to the horizon when it comes to real world activations and other NFT events and communities as we expand and can bring new communities into DCL as we expand into other communities.
